Range & Habitat:

Known only from Sussex County where it inhabits clean rivers and streams, often near gravel bars.

Description:

Similar to Ashy Clubtail, but black, with more extensive light coloring on the lateral thorax. Frontal stripes broad, with Z-type extensions.  See the Slender Clubtail ID page for more detail or take the ID quiz!

 

Conservation Status:

State: S1 - Critically imperiled in NJ

Global: G4 - Apparently secure globally
