Range & Habitat:
Recorded throughout the northern part of the state; the
Camden County record is curious.
Usually seen at rocky riffles of small rivers and large
streams where it seems to disappear as it flies over the
ripples.

Description:
Our smallest clubtail, distinguished by the
rings around each abdominal segment and the white claspers. See
Southern Pygmy Clubtail for comparison. Other clubtails with a
ringed pattern are much larger. Males are green with black
thoracic markings; the green is replaced with yellow in females
and young males.
Conservation Status:State: S4 - Apparently secure in New JerseyGlobal: G5 - Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
