Description:

A medium sized bluet with a blue and black abdomen, usually with more black than blue.  The black humeral stripes are about 1/2 the width of the blue antehumerals.  The postocular spots are small and triangular, separated by a thin occiptial bar. Compare with Familiar Bluet and Azure Bluet.

 

Conservation Status:

State: S1S2 - Imperiled to critically imperiled in New Jersey

Global: G5 - Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
