Description:
Most males in New Jersey are recognized by their solid blue
thorax, while a few may show a single black lateral stripe.
Females range from blue like the males through various shades
of muted gray or brown.
Young and female Powdered Dancers
before they become pruinose may appear almost identical to

Dancers commonly perch on the ground.
