Range & Habitat:

Found throughout most of the state, should be looked for in the missing counties.

Usually found along small to medium streams, but also found patrolling ponds and lakes.

Description:

A mostly brown darner, with two oval yellow spots on the side of the thorax and indistinct spots on the abdomen.  Wings have a dark basal spot.

Patrols slowly along the edge, poking its nose into everything.

Conservation Status:

State: S5 - Demonstrably secure in the state

Global: G5 - Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
