Range & Habitat:

Found throughout most of the state, missing or not yet recorded in Cape May and Cunmberland.

Typical skimmery habitat, ponds, lakes and marshes.

Description:

Wings of both sexes marked with prominent black basal bands.  Adult males develop broad white spots at midwing.

 

Conservation Status:

State: S5 - Demonstrably secure in the state

Global: G5 - Secure globally, but possibly rare in parts of its range
